Does the vac have a HEPA filter?

"HEPA" is a Quality Air Standard. The HEPA standard is the removal of 99.97% of particulate matter .3 microns and up. The Home Cleaning Center System removes 99.90% of all particles, germs, bacteria and allergens as small as 0.3 microns. Therefore, the Home Cleaning Center is .07% off the HEPA requirement.

How big an area can it clean? (How far does the hose stretch?)

The vac can cover about a 2,500 sq. ft. area. The actual amount of area covered depends on the placement of the vac and your floor plan. The hose stretches 55 feet. This measurement includes the length of the attachments included with the vac which vary somewhat in length.

How long does it take to install?

It takes about 30-45 minutes. There are three basic steps. Read about installation here.

The cupboard looks very..."builder beige"...will it match my decor?

You can put a raised door panel on the vac so it loooks like your other doors or kitchen cabinets. You can mirror the door. The door cover is metal and can be painted (carefully).

Can I have a Home Cleaning Center in a condo?

Absolutetly...Don't be the last on your floor to have one! Until now there was no central vac solution for condo owners...and precious little space to put traditional upright vacs.

How often will I have to change bags?

Bottom part of Home Cleaning Center that containing the filter in a small flip out door. What could be more convenient?Obviously, this depends on how much you use it. Here are some numbers to help you decide: A commercial upright may hold about 8 quarts/2 gallons of dust. We briefly surveyed a selection of upright vacs. They hold anywhere from 1 - 2.5 quarts. The Home Cleaning Center is for home use and holds about 5 quarts (1.25 gallon). So the Home Cleaning Center holds at least double what an upright does

One thing is for certain - unlike many uprights, the bag is very easy to change! Have a look at the picture and you'll see what we mean. The filter bag just pops in and out (and it stays shut!).
